Are you actually looking for one?

The guy I bought these two from has another two I think. Not sure if he's selling them though. I can ask him about them though if you'd like.

Right now is a bad time, but I am planning to get one eventually. Maybe in a month or two, depending on how things go.

Oh god. That thing looks really clean.

Is it daily driveable or a project?

Daily driveable as it sits but not clean. That purple hides a lot. It already has had a lot of rust repair done and could use just as much. But it ran and drove awesome. Dude had that and a 240 4spd he drove everyday. 330k

Assuming that has the OM617 in it and from what i've been reading these things are good upwards of 500,000 miles without any major problems.

If you have no service records on the thing it's a good idea to check your timing chain for stretch. If that lets loose, like many engines, it's the death of these.

What valvebody from a toyota would go into an AW4?

Would you reccomend that route or would you personally be happier with an AX15? I'd love the AW4 and what have you but i've never really driven something that totally shifts hydraulic. Do they shift as snappy (if you'd call it that) as an aw4 shifting with solenoids or are they kind of sluggish and slow to shift? Does that even make sense?

Oh, and my last question (i think) if i did put the toyota valve body in the AW4 it would be totally hydraulic? (Ie; No wires to hook up or anything? Just bolt it behind the motor and run it?

Yep, 617 and timing chain was done a couple months back.

Did he really cut the hood to get that motor to fit?
