Amsoil is rated for 25000 miles along with their filters. I run it in my jeep and it works pretty good. And I can get you some for dealer cost.

oh and dont buy fram filters....mobil 1 filters are much better. even a wix filter isnt a bad choice

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

For the past 2 years i was running royal purple for 6k. just checking it periodically. Thats what its recommended to run. Now that prices sky rocketed i run mobil 5k and ive had no ill side effects. I use mobil 1 filters or mopar filters.

X2 My Jeep is the same way, it usually black in under 2k actually and I add a quart or two between changes. If GTX really went up that much I'll probably just start buying another cheaper oil.... guess i'll try the m1-301 filter next time around. any particular year of ford V8? or just look for the M1-301?

i personally believe 3k is unnecessary for an oil change now adays because the increase in knowledge and technology that is put into oil, filters, and engines. i usually just change my oil twice a year with 5-30 full syn. right before winter and 10-30 full syn. once it starts getting warm again. If it wasnt safe to go over 3k manufacturers wouldnt put oil life monitors in their cars that allow you to drive over 10k miles before telling you to change your oil, they also wouldnt advertise 7500 between oil changes in the owners manuals.
